Cuba and Venezuela sign memorandum of understanding

Cuba and Venezuela for continuing to strengthen ties of friendship and collaboration.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of the Provincial Assembly of the People’s Power in Havana, Reinaldo Garcia Zapata, and Erika del Valle Farias, Mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador Municipality, of Caracas, signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the Cuban capital to strengthen ties of friendship and collaboration.

The document conceives the management and use of public and heritage spaces according to the economic and social development of both localities, which will also promote the strengthening of exchange and collaboration in culture, heritage and urban management.

The Mayor of Caracas passed on to the Cuban people a greeting from Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who assured that in his country the 500th anniversary of the Village of Saint Christopher in Havana will also be celebrated.

Garcia Zapata extended the invitation to the Caracas delegation f to attend that celebration next November, and emphasized this birthday is also for the friends of Cuba.
