Matanzas, Cuba.-The organizers of the International Puppet Workshop of Matanzas (Titim) today confirmed that the XIII edition will be from April 24 to 29, 2018, in theaters and open spaces of this Cuban city.
Dedicated to the puppet theater in the Caribbean, to Puerto Rico, and Guiñol Fidel Galbán, from Cuba, the management committee called professional groups and personalities from the universe of the tableau, to observe closely a party of colors and affections with more than 20 years of celebration.
National and international shows will join workshops, courses, publications, films, concerts and conferences on the specialty, all based in this tricentennial village, located at 100 kilometers east of Havana.
‘In 2018 teachers from Cuba and the world will return to share their art with Cuban and foreign puppeteers in workshops for professionals,’ specified the call for the next version of Titim.
The academic segment of the XIII Workshop will dedicate its days mainly to puppets in the Spanish-speaking Caribbean, by showing documentaries, conferences and meetings with groups and personalities in the region, noted the source.
Main event leaders include the institutions from Matanzas,Center for the Performing Arts, the provincial directorate of culture, and the Scenic Memory House.
