fiagropHavana, Cuba.-The 20th International Agricultural Fair, Fiagrop 2017, continues its work here today at the Havana-based Rancho Boyeros exhibition area, with the participation of about 170 exhibitors from Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, Cuba and other countries.

Opened on Monday, March 20th, by Agriculture Minister, Gustavo Rodriguez, the event has among its innovations the addition of a fifth 600-square-meter pavilion.

This last area, which stands out for its modernity and air conditioning, is exhibiting the country’s best producers of root vegetables, fruits, honey, meat, tobacco and other items.

Fiagrop 2017 shows the transformations the Cuban agricultural sector is undergoing. The Ministries of Agriculture and Food Industry, and the Azcuba Sugar Group are supporting the event.

The fair includes exhibition and animals’ assessment, workshops and clinical presentations, specialized keynote speeches, rodeo bouts and a trade fair, as the main activity of the event. Its aim is to serve as the space for promotion and business.

It will close on Sunday, March 26th. Cuban and foreign experts are scheduled to deliver lectures on human and animal food.
