MANAGUA, Nicaragua.- Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and Vice-President Rosario Murillo sent a message to the Cuban President, Raul Castro, to congratulate him on the successful election day on Sunday.

“We want to congratulate you, Raul, to congratulate you all, and the great people of Cuba, of Fidel, Raul, of the glorious Cuban Revolution, for this new extraordinary lesson of dignity and sovereignty, which we admires and upraises us,” the missive underlines.

The text also highlights that in these times of struggles and victories, Cuba with Fidel’s undefeated leadership, Raul and the Communist Party shows to the world with increasing pride the quality of its institutions.

Last Sunday, millions of Cubans came to the polls to elect members of the Parliament and provincial Assemblies of People’s Power, elections in which they ratified their support for the Revolution and socialism.
