Havana, Cuba.-About 60 journalists who are participating in the 12th International Seminar on Journalism and Tourism, are discussing today the influence of information technologies in this sector.

About 60 journalists from eight Latin American nations, including the hosts, will attend the one-week meeting (June 26-30) to discuss current trends in the travel industry and its influence in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Issues such as Social Media, and the digital transformation of Cuba as a travel Destination, by Alejandro Cruz, responsible for social networks at the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) of this country, will be discussed today.

Another of the talks to provoke the debates is the responsibility of the president of the Explore Haiti travel agency, Pascale Hilaire, as part of the participation of foreign companies working with Cuban tourism.
