President of Venezuela recalls first meeting between Fidel and Chavez

CARACAS, Venezuela.- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro recalled this Friday the first meeting between Bolivarian Commander Hugo Chavez and the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

Through a message spread on Twitter, the Venezuelan President assured that the exchange between these two men, 25 years ago, marked the history of humanity and allowed the reunion of the dreams of Simon Bolivar and Jose Marti.

With the brotherhood of Chavez and Fidel, the seed of hope in the peoples of Our America was reborn, Maduro wrote on the communication platform.

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our America was founded on the encouragement of both leaders, a decade after their first meeting on December 13, 1994.
