HAVANA, Cuba. – The Vice-President of the State Council of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdes Mesa, received on Wednesday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, Honorable Gerry Brownlee, who pays an official visit to the island

During the cordial meeting both leaders noted the good state of bilateral relations, and expressed their interest in continuing to develop and broaden the economic, commercial and investment linkages. They also discussed topics on the international agenda.

Valdes Mesa reiterated Cuba´s satisfaction with the development of triangular projects driven by both countries for the benefit of the Pacific Islands.

Officials from the two countries were also present in the exchange held this Wednesday between the Cuban Vice-President and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of New Zealand.
