Havana, Cuba.- A little more than 15 days after the devastating tornado that hit several municipalities in Havana, a new panorama emerges in the recovery that, although with many challenges still, but showing changes which encourages us to rebuild with more quality.

According to official figures, the weather event caused 7 thousand 871 affectations in dwellings, of them 730 total landslides and 931 partial.

Despite the magnitude of the damage, important results are appreciated and almost three thousand 700 families already have the necessary resources to repair their homes, while others will acquire them in the coming days.

The powerful tornado destroyed the tranquility of the night on Sunday January 27 in the municipalities of Guanabacoa, Regla, 10 de Octubre, Habana del Este and Cerro.

However, Cuban solidarity broke through in the midst of adversity and came with his naivety to help lift what never quite falls: hope.
