HAVANA, Cuba. – The forty-seventh contingent of the Jose Marti European Brigade of Volunteer Work and Solidarity with Cuba is already in our country, with more than eighty members, mostly young.

They come from Italy, Portugal, France, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Greece, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and Spain, the latter with the greatest amount of representatives. They will remain at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp until the end of July.

When welcoming them, Elio Gamez, first vice-president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with People (ICAP) thanked the Jose Marti European Brigade for its visit, which means a sign of love and solidarity towards the Cuban people.

Gamez also made a panoramic view of Cuba’s situation, especially with the consequences of the American blockade and the imperial subversion policy against the Cubans.
