HAVANA, Cuba. – Cuban President Raul Castro and his Colombian pair Juan Manuel Santos held a round of official talks in Havana, in which they exchanged about the good state of bilateral relations.

In a cordial ambience, Raul and Santos also addressed the process of implementing the peace agreements in Colombia, as well as other issues on the international agenda.

The talks took place after the official welcome to the Colombian President, who previously paid homage to the Cuban hero with a floral offering before the monument at the Revolution Square and toured the memorial dedicated to Jose Marti, both in Havana.

Santos visited the Cuban capital in June 2016, when he attended the signing of the peace agreements between his Government and insurgent Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia- People’s Army, a process in which Cuba acted as headquarters and guarantor.
