HAVANA, Cuba.- The people of Cuba A will make a simultaneous race-walk next September 9 in rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade by the United States, which is maintained for almost six decades.

The action will begin at 10 a.m. as part of the celebrations for the 57th anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), and will mark the beginning of multiple demonstrations on and off the island against the blockade.

According to the official web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the race-hike will be held in Havana from the north wing of the Museum of the Revolution to the Jose Marti Anti-imperialist Tribune.

Members of CDR, young people, children, sports fans and the general population will be protagonists of the initiative, a popular expression of denunciation against that hostile policy.
