Monolith to Fidel.

SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba. – Her Excellency Lady Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, Prime Minister of the Republic of Namibia, paid homage this Monday morning to the historical leader Fidel Castro in Saint Iphigenia Cemetery of Santiago de Cuba.

The distinguished visitor, accompanied by Teresa Amarelle, Secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women, was received by Beatriz Johnson, President of the Provincial Assembly of People´s Power.

In the cemetery, the Prime Minister of Namibia placed a floral offering on the monolith guarding the ashes of the Commander-in-Chief, as well as touring the graves of Mariana Grajales, Carlos Manuel de Cespedes and Jose Marti.

During her stay in Santiago de Cuba, Lady Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila visited the museum of the old Moncada Barracks and the new projects that are built in the Plaza de Marte, Cespedes Parque the patrimonial corridor the Enramadas.
