HAVANA, Cuba.- Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine and of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, will arrive tomorrow in Cuba to pay an official visit, which will be extended until May 12.

The distinguished visitor will hold official conversations with Cuban authorities and will carry out other activities during his stay on the island.

The State of Palestine, located in the Near East, was proclaimed in exile in Algiers in 1988, when the National Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization adopted the Declaration of Independence.
