HAVANA, Cuba. – Fernando Gonzalez Llort, president of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) sent a message of gratitude to the solidarity movement with Cuba.

He says in the text that countless have been the messages received in ICAP with words of friendship and respect for our country and rejecting the reversal of exchanges between both nations and their peoples exposed by Trump in his mistaken speech.

Fernando Gonzalez adds that the US government´s hostility is diametrically opposed to the people’s growing desires for a total normalization of relations between that country and Cuba, and the lifting of the blockade.

We thank all the solidarity organizations that from all over the world for years have supported our nation’s right to defend its sovereignty and self-determination, the message concludes.
