cuba-educacion-presco-congVaradero, Cuba.-With the introduction of more than 20 works, the academic program of the 27th International Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology, and the First Cuban Congress on External Fixation will be concluded today in this resort. These papers will be focused on issues to the spine, main member in pediatric and traumatology, while the third day will include the discussion of 10 clinical cases and the presentation of traditional and digital posters.

Those events takes place at the Plaza America Convention Center in this tourist resort, Cuba’s main sector in the sun and beach modality, located on the northern coast of Matanzas province, 140 kilometers northeast of Havana.

More than 20 firms linked to this branch of medicine are exhibiting their products, among them, the Cuban Medical Equipment Company (ICEM) specializing in hospital furniture, office, medical equipment and laboratory.

The company also manufactures equipment and instruments for technical aids and rehabilitation, solutions for solar protection, lighting and metal structures, project services and the installation associated to these productions.

According to ICEM reports, nearly three decades after its foundation, this company has managed to enter in foreign market, mainly in the areas of the Caribbean, Central America and Latin America.

Among the main issues of the four working days, until October 1, include Progresses in External Fixation; Deformities; Current issues in shoulder, hip and ankle arthroscopy: and Minimally invasive surgery in Orthopedics.
