Henry Revve International Contingent.

HAVANA, Cuba. – Henry Reeve International Contingent of Physicians Specializing in Disasters and Serious Epidemics will receive next May 26 the Public Health Award given by the World Health Organization, in recognition of its supportive work.

The prize is also an homage to the work done by the more than 250 Cuban health collaborators who faced the Ebola virus outbreak in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.

Now, Henry Reeve Contingent, created by the leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, is providing medical aid in Piura, a Northern Peruvian region affected by heavy rains.

Minister of Public Health Roberto Morales Ojeda will attend the homage and he arrived in Geneva, at the head of the Cuban delegation to the 70 World Health Assembly whose sessions take place until May 31.
