HAVANA, Cuba.- Since today until May 18, the Cuban days against homophobia and transphobia, in its eleventh edition, are developed with the aim of promoting respect for free and responsible sexual orientation and gender identity, as an exercise of justice and social equity.

The head of the National Center for Sexual Education, CENESEX, Mariela Castro, stressed at a press conference that the message for the community, academic and artistic activities is For Schools without Homophobia and Transphobia. ¡Include Myself!

Castro said it is about that school, as the most important cultural institution in the community, has tools to deal with these realities, scientific culture to identify when they occur and clarity to address the issue in any scenario.

Mariela Castro explained the educational actions of the days, supported by the Cuban Government, are intended to raise awareness.
