HAVANA, Cuba.-Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers inaugurated this Tuesday a modern boxing gym in areas surrounding the Pan-American Stadium in Havana.

This new enclosure for the national pugilism in youth category was included in the work agenda of the National Institute of Sport, Physical Education and Recreation of Cuba (INDER), in its purpose of rehabilitating and maintening sports facilities of the country.

The new boxing gym has all the conditions of world-class gymnasiums, with three rings, a physiotherapy room, various devices to train force, as well as 30 pushing bags.

Jose Ramon Fernandez, president of the Cuban Olympic Committee, said the Cuban sports movement is in an interesting stage, especially in boxing, which always shows its worth in international events, so this gym is a source of pride for all.
