LAS TUNAS, Cuba. – Spanish photographer Jose Rubio Galvez announced this Wednesday he will donate to schools in Las Tunas copies of the photo book titled Las Tunas y yo (Las Tunas and me) with images of daily life in the territory.

The author expects children and young people obtain the greatest enjoyment of eight hundred forty pages, with more than eight thousand photographs of streets, buildings, habitat, sculptures, playgrounds, customs and traditions.

Las Tunas y yo will be in bookstores from next December, and co-authors Belsis Ruiz and historian of the city Víctor Marrero describe it as identitarian, because the people of Las Tunas will identify with the photos and notes on the local historical evolution.

The Institute of History of Cuba assumes the edition of the text of twenty-four chapters, funded by photographer Jose Rubio, who has presented twenty-five exhibitions in Las Tunas and five in Havana.
