HAVANA, Cuba.- Roberto Morales Ojeda, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, thanked the support received by the island at the United Nations headquarters, in its fight against the blockade imposed by the government of Washington.

From his Twitter profile, Morales Ojeda said we appreciate the support and solidarity of the countries which spoke out at the United Nations’ presentation of the resolution Need to End the Economic, Trade and Financial Blockade of the United States against Cuba.

Likewise, the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers wrote that we will stand firm on our principles, without making concessions until victory is achieved.

The resolution will be put to a vote tomorrow in the international body in New York, where Cuba has been backed by the vast majority of the world’s peoples since 1992.
