HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, condemned this Thursday the interventionist policy of the United States, following the decision to suspend for only 45 days the application of the Title III of the Helms-Burton Act.
We strongly reject this new interventionist, threatening, and arrogant provocation that violates international law. The United States Government shows its contempt for the rest of the world, the Cuban president wrote in his Twitter account.
In addition, Diaz-Canel rejected all kinds of political blackmail and actions to reinforce the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
In another Twitter message, the Cuban President remarked that we will not allow political blackmail, we have enough and legitimate reasons and truths to face so much hostility and contempt with our convictions.
