Andres Manuel Lopez OBrador.HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel sent a congratulation message to Mexico’s elected President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, according to the Cuban ambassador to that nation, Pedro Nunez Mosquera in his Twitter account.

Diaz-Canel joined other leaders who recognized and congratulated the candidate of the We Together Will Make History Coalition, who got a strong win in his third attempt for the presidential band.

In his first pronouncement after the National Electoral Institute confirmed his irreversible advantage, Lopez Obrador thanked the messages sent by leaders and international organizations.

The new Mexican President surpassed his main challenger at the polls, Ricardo Anaya, with 53.3 percent of the total votes.
