HAVANA, Cuba. – The Committee on International Relations of the Cuban Parliament endorsed this Tuesday the Revolutionary Government’s statement on the policy directive on Cuba announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Yolanda Ferrer, president of the Foreign Affairs working group of the National Assembly of People’s Power, read the document thanking the demonstrations of respect and sympathy for Cuba in rejection to that policy.

The text issued by the Committee on International Relations of the Cuban Parliament recognizes the statements in the United States of legislators, retired military, academics, solidarity groups, businessmen, non-governmental and religious organizations, media and representatives of the Cuban community.

No one can dictate guidelines to the Cuban people. We will not accept any imposition on our democracy or the functioning of our economic, political and social system, the document emphasize.
