HAVANA, Cuba. – Cuban Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez received this Friday in Havana the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Luis Videgaray, who makes a work visit to the island.

During a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Havana, both officials advocated to strengthen the bilateral ties in force for 115 years.

Videgaray, who visited Cuba during the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States last March, highlighted the historical connections between the two countries and said they will continue working to make the relationship stronger and thus benefiting both peoples.

For his part, the Cuban Chancellor thanked the Mexican position of supporting for peace and security in the world, and the Cuban cause against the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States.
