HAVANA, Cuba.- Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, and his counterpart from Saudi Arabia, Adel al-Jubeir, expressed the desire to deepen the links between the two nations, and increase them in the investment area.

The Cuban Minister was optimistic that the first visit by a Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Cuban nation would help to further promote bilateral relations.

Rodríguez Parrilla asserted that the island appreciates the cooperation projects implemented jointly with the Saudi Development Fund, in addition to verifying the progress of collaboration in other areas.

He also thanked the hospitality received by the national delegations in that kingdom, in particular that headed by the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and head of Economy and Planning, Ricardo Cabrisas.

Cuban Minister Received Chancellor of Saudi Arabia

The Minister of Economy and Planning, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mr. Adel Bin Ahmed al Jubeir, who pays an official visit to Cuba.

During the meeting, the level of relations between the two countries was highlighted and the decision to continue developing different areas, particularly economic cooperation.

The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Faisal Muslat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Cuba, Khaled Alangari, Director General of the Office of the Minister for Foreign Affairs, and other members of the delegation.

By the Cuban side they were present Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Vice-minister of Public Health Marcia Cobas, and other officials.
