Foreign banks avoid business with Cuba due to blockade.

HAVANA, Cuba. – Between April 2016 and March 2017 Cuba has been affected as a result of the extraterritorial nature of blockade, in its relationship with more than one hundred foreign banks.

The Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, remarked that in recent calendars the most serious manifestation of this arbitrary policy is seen in the financial sector. He assured there is a real terrorism of the Government of States United against international Banking.

The blockade causes real affectations, especially creating obstacles, not only to American companies, but from all over the world, Malmierca pointed out.

Taking into account the previous period, the banks giving way to the harassment policy imposed by the blockade increased by 40, which threatens the normal functioning and operation of Cuban banking institutions.
