CARACAS, Venezuela. – The Front of Users for the Defense of Communication Rights of Venezuela denounced private media and companies for the censorship of July 30 elections.

Israel Marin, spokesman for this institution, said that more than eight million voters participated in the elections of members of the National Constituent Assembly, an event made invisible by private channels Globovision, Televen and Venevision.

He pointed out that the demand was made before the National Telecommunications Commission for non-compliance with articles 62 and 58 of the Constitution of the Republic which establishes the obligation to keep the Venezuelan people informed.

He added that they also violated the section number 27 of the Law on Social Responsibility in Radio, TV and Electronic Media and urged to promote the participation of the people in the programming.
