CARACAS, Venezuela.- With a view to the elections of municipal councils to be held next December, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela announced this Tuesday its program for that consultation.

Mervin Maldonado, from the National Directorate of the political organization, said that with the election of 2459 councilmen, the people take the electoral route to continue giving battle to the American Empire.

For his part, the Minister of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Nestor Reverol, reported a 28 per cent decrease in public security offenses and 41 per cent in abductions.

Reverol also informed on his evaluation with the commanders of territorial units and heads of security agencies across Venezuela about the implementation next year of the new system of citizen protection, the Quadrants of Peace Great Mission.
