Arreaza rejected the inclusion of a point referring to the political situation in Venezuela.

WASHINGTON, USA. – Venezuelan Chancellor Jorge Arreaza said the Organization of American States (OAS) is influenced by unilateralism imposed by the U.S. Government.

During his speech at the forty-eighth regular session of the OAS General Assembly, held in Washington, Arreaza refused the inclusion of a point referring to the political situation in Venezuela.

We do not question the agenda, but we want the procedures to be fulfilled. There is an intentionality of debating about Venezuela, without knowing its reality, the head of Venezuelan diplomacy said, quoted by the Chancellery in its Twitter account.

Despite the legitimate objection of the Foreign Minister of Venezuela, Paraguayan Chancellor Eladio Loizaga, appointed as president of the Assembly, approved to incorporate a point on the Bolivarian nation to the agenda.
