Eighth Summit of the Americas.

HAVANA, Cuba. – With aggressive postures and a lot of controversy, the Trump Administration will arrive in Lima for the eighth Summit of the Americas, a forum that will allow to measure its positions for Latin America.

The hemispheric meeting will have its high level segment, while in previous days meetings of the continental civil society will be held, as spaces in which tense debates are expected.

The effort to raise a wall on the border with Mexico and some anti-immigrant speeches should be added to Venezuela’s exclusion from the summit and the setback in a rapprochement with Cuba.

Speaking about the Lima meeting, Prensa Latina talked with experts from the Center for Hemispheric Studies and the United States of the University of Havana, who addressed possible scenarios of a forum focused on the fight against corruption.
