BUENOS AIRES, Argentina. – The prosecutor of the Federal Chamber of Argentina, German Moldes, asked for the arrest of former President Cristina Fernandez, pointing her as the alleged head of an illicit associatio, in the cause of the notebooks of driver Oscar Centeno.

Meanwhile, the defense attorney of Fernandez, Carlos Beraldi, said the ratification of prosecution has no involvement in the cause, since there are no elements to apply for remand.

For her part, Cristina Fernandez described the news as a maneuver before her prominence in the unanimous approval of the Upper House to overrule a retroactive increase in gas tariffs.

Several political voices emerged in defense of the former President, including legislator for Citizen Unit, Monica Macha, who pointed out that every time the Government needs to cover their own disasters, a new persecutory measure against Cristina appears.
