DAMASCUS, Syria. – After the takeover of eight new settlements in the Northern province of Idlib, the Syrian Army intensified this Tuesday its offensive against the terrorists of the Levant Front to try to snatch them the Abu Duhur military aerodrome.

Government troops fighting extremist gangs captured several villages in recent hours and also, from the southern province of Aleppo, the army launched a major assault near Abu Duhur Airport.

Since last October, the government forces are facing the radical jihadi groups, whose main bastion is Idlib, and as a result of their offensive the Syrian troops managed to capture dozens of villages in the south of that Northern territory.
