Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

MOSCOW, Russia.- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov denounced the media campaign against his country and the sanctions imposed by the United States, actions he considered detrimental to relations.

In an interview with Slovak newspaper Pravda and spread by the Chancellery, Lavrov reiterated that Moscow advocates constructive cooperation between nations and has never interfered in the internal affairs of other States.

He also denied Russia’s interference in the US presidential elections of 2016, a pretext used by American political groups to drive a strong campaign against Moscow.

We have demanded that Washington show the evidence on which they base their accusations, but they do not exist; we also proposed the creation of working groups, but the United States is reluctant, Lavrov said.
