MOSCOW, Russia.- The president of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Russian Senate, Konstantin Kosachov, spoke out against the hostile American policy towards Cuba, in an exchange with Cuban Vice Chancellor Marcelino Medina Gonzalez.

The United States, which interferes in the internal affairs of sovereign countries, act unilaterally, using methods of force, interference in the political sphere and economic sanctions, Kosachov noted.

The Russian Senator reiterated the traditional support of both chambers of the Federal Assembly to the draft resolution on the lifting of the economic and financial blockade against Cuba.

For his part, the Cuban Vice-Minister thanked the Russian position in favor of the cause of the Cuban people and Government. Medina Gonzalez commented on the draft Constitution in Cuba, and the process of popular consultation with a massive participation of citizens.
