Cholera in Yemen.

Contagion has expanded in Yemen.

SANA, Yemen.- The World Health Organization, WHO, registered twenty thousand suspected cases of cholera and one hundred deaths by the epidemic over the last three days in Yemen.

The number of infected in the country amounts to three hundred and fifty-six thousand five hundred and ninety-one, and the death toll to date is one thousand eight hundred two because of cholera, which expands easily throughout Yemen.

As WHO work teams verified in the western provinces of Amran, Al-Dhale’e and Mahwit the cases of contagion multiplied in Yemen multiplied after vaccination against cholera ceased, because they believed it was not very useful due to the expansion of the disease.

The World Health Organization supported the Yemeni government to continue vaccination, because it has been proven that vaccinating the disease is already in an area has little impact on the spread of contagion.
