London, United Kingdom.- The Prince of Wales, Charles, and his wife, Camila, the Duchess of Cornualles, have embarked on a 10-day Caribbean tour, starting in Saint Lucia, that has been called historical for it includes Cuba.

Carlos and Camila arrived in Saint Lucia on Sunday in the first leg of their tour that includes Barbados, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Granada, according to the program issued by the Royal House.

They will be arriving in Havana on March 24 on the first visit ever that a member of the British Royal family pays to Cuba.

During their three-day visit in Cuba, the heir to the Crown and his wife will fulfill a tight program that includes meetings with local authorities and visits to communities and art centers.

They will also learn about renewable energy and organic agriculture, meet with Cuban young entrepreneurs and members of a club of Britich classic cars.

Before leaving for the Cayman Islands on March 27 in the last leg of their tour, the couple will visit a province in the southern coast of Cuba to know more about local flora and fauna, environmental conservation and attention to victims of domestic violence.
