CARACAS, Venezuela. – The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, highlighted the existence of laws and institutions, which guarantee the protection of children and adolescents in any manifestation of violence.
Through a message posted on Twitter, Maduro advocated raising awareness of the social and personal impact of this scourge, on the occasion of the World Day to combat child abuse.
The Venezuelan President wrote, “Today we try to raise awareness about the consequences of child abuse. In Venezuela we have institutions and laws that guarantee the protection of the rights of our children.”
Among the legal instruments existing in the South American nation to preserve the rights of minors, it stands out the Organic Law for the Protection of Children and Adolescents.
