LIMA, Peru. – The participants at the Peoples ‘ Summit, which had their first working sessions in this capital, discuss several issues of utmost importance for the Latin American region.

In the session of this Wednesday morning, five speakers discussed on the subject What is at stake in Peru for the region? which dealt with issues such as corruption and the advancement of neoliberal policies.

Also this day, other panelists, including Cuban essayist Enrique Ubieta talked about What is at stake in our America, a subject in which he referred to the neoliberal wave in the hemisphere.

The Peoples’ Summit is the alternative of the left and the popular movements of the continent to the Summit of the Americas, whose government segment will be held in Peru next Friday and Saturday.
