CARACAS, Venezuela. – The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, revealed this Wednesday new evidence of the inoperability of the Public Ministry on cases of corruption and scams during the management of Luisa Ortega, now fugitive of justice.

More than eighty percent of the causes opened by scams to companies of the National Center of Foreign Trade were closed, the magistrate said in a press conference in Venezolana de Television.

That represents an act of protection for large companies and power groups by the former Public Prosecutor’s office, which was in charge of the attorney general, he emphasized.

Tarek William Saab ratified this institution works to regain its credibility, in terms of imparting a true justice and not to generate actions of corruption and extortion against the Venezuelan people.
