The Islamic State claimed this Tuesday the death of thirty-one Iraqis because of explosive attacks in capital districts of Shia majority, while their members suffered serious setbacks due the government offensive in Mosul.
According to medical and police sources, seventeen people died, and thirty-two were injured by the deflagration of a powerful artifact outside a popular ice cream parlor in Karrada neighborhood.
Images captured by a closed-circuit camera showed the moment of the explosion on a crowded avenue, with many cars circulating in a time when Muslim believers broke Ramadan fast.
During the Ramadan last year, Karrada was the scene of the deadliest attack in Baghdad, when a suicide detonated the truck he drove and killed more than three hundred people.
