CARACAS, Venezuela. – The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, celebrated the triumph of the revolution in the regional elections in Miraflores Palace.

He claimed that today the peace, the large homeland, the Bolivarian and Chavista Venezuela have triumphed, and that Chavismo swept away.

Maduro asked for the implementation of 100% of the audit of ballots, so that there is no doubt of the process, in the face of the opposition claiming fraud.

He pointed out that, in obtaining the victory in 17 of the 22 governorates awarded by the National Electoral Council, the revolutionary forces won in 75% of the states, while in the counting of the national vote, Chavismo took out 54% of the votes, nine points of difference with the right.

With these results, the Venezuelan President indicated, it is evident that Chavismo is alive, it is in the street, and it is triumphant.

The President recognized the victory of the opposition in the five governorates announced by the National Electoral Council, and offered his hand to the new regional leaders to work for the people.
