CARACAS, Venezuela.- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called on the country’s military units to be alert to criminal plans of the national extreme right.

During a telephone call to the TV program led by the President of the National Constituent Assembly, Diosdado Cabello, Maduro said that leaders with a criminal, murderous and unethical vision head the current Venezuelan opposition.

The Venezuelan President asserted that the attack on electric service is part of an unconventional war to overthrow his government, and warned that the new strategy is not a conventional direct invasion, but the implementation of a plan for the destruction of public services.

In that way, Maduro reiterated, they try to make the people feel a sense of chaos, discomfort, and to join in the desire to overthrow a democratic and legitimate government with the support of the United States Executive.
