Macron opens arrival of representatives to G20 Summit

TOKYO, Japan.- French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Japan on Wednesday and began the arrival of the officials who will participate at the Osaka-based G20 Summit next Friday and Saturday.

In addition to this high-level meeting, Macron pays an official visit to the Asian nation, where he will discuss with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on issues of bilateral interest, especially in areas such as energy and transport.

Tomorrow, the French President will visit Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace before moving to Kyoto to tour sites of economic and cultural importance.

At the G20 Summit, Macron will deliver a speech and it is expected he calls for greater international cooperation on climate change, in designing the rules for the digital market and defending multinational frameworks to counter the wave of protectionism.
