ST. PETERSBURG, Russia.- The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, that will last three days, began this Thursday at the Expoforum Exhibition and Convention Center of this Russian city.

The main theme of this year’s edition is Creating the Agenda for Sustainable Development, and it brings together numerous Russian specialists and guests from other countries.

Following the start of the forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed as to the situation in Venezuela, which according to the available information, not even the United States’ allies support the military intervention in the country, which would be a catastrophe.

In addition, the Russian leader clarified that Moscow does not create military bases in Venezuela or deploys troops in the Latin American country, and he explained that the Russian military specialists working in Venezuela do so respecting the deadlines stipulated in the established agreements.
