Athens, Greece.- Representatives from the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba at the Greek Parliament will pay tribute to Cuban national hero Jose Marti with several events, diplomatic sources said.

The Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, led by its president Nikolaos Syrmalenios, held a meeting with Cuban Ambassador to Greece Zelmys Maria Dominguez and Counsellor Jose Oriol Marrero, as well as representatives from the Jose Marti Cultural Association of solidarity with Cuba in Greece.

During the meeting, they talked about Jose Marti and his relation with Greece, and the initiative to organize a forum on the subject in the Parliament’s headquarters, as well as an exhibition of pictures on Cuba.

Members of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba were updated on the situation in Cuba and bilateral ties, as well as the activities planned in the coming months.

They agreed that such meetings help to promote the image of Cuba in Greece and increase bilateral ties.
