PARIS, France.- Railway unionists showed their disappointment after the meeting with French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, who remains adamant on the main points of the controversial reform of the sector.

In the midst of a broad strike in the National Railways Society against that transformation plan, the head of Government held bilateral meetings separately with the leaders of several organizations to try to take forward the negotiation on the issue.

However, the trade unionists regretted that Philippe maintains the refusal to talk about the most controversial issues of the reform, which generate a majority opposition from the union.

The French unions carry out strikes two days out of every five, from the beginning of April to the end of June, which means 36 days of disturbances in traffic.
