Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji and the Cuban Ambassador.

SUVA, Fiji. – The Prime Minister of the Republic of Fiji, Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, thanked Cuba for its support to his country, especially in the formation of human resources.

The pronouncement occurred during the meeting held by the President with Carlos Manuel Rojas, Cuban Ambassador in the South Pacific island State.

At the meeting, Bainimarama expressed his desire and that of his Government to continue working for strengthening bilateral relations lifting the criminal blockade imposed by the United States to Cuba, which has caused severe damage to economy and people.

The Cuban Ambassador highlighted the fluid exchange between the two countries in multilateral scenarios, such as the United Nations Conference on Climate Change and the Pacific Islands Forum.
