Evo Morales denounces coup government plans of privatization

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina.- Former Bolivian President Evo Morales denounced this Friday on Twitter the intentions of the coup government led by Jeanine Anez to privatize companies and resources in the Andean country.

Morales wrote on the social network that the de facto government of Anez, Camacho and Mesa talks about privatizing and delivering strategic companies to transnationals, after the Bolivian people struggled to recover those natural resources.

The former Bolivian President, in Argentina since this Thursday and where his refugee status is processed, referred to the de facto government’s intentions to denationalize state-run companies whose results are questionable.

Bolivian media report that during Morales’ tenure, companies were created that left benefits to the state coffers; however, the current de facto government believes that not all were profitable.
