UNITED NATIONS, New York. – The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, meets a broad agenda of bilateral meetings corresponding to his second day at the session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

At the headquarters of the largest international organization, the head of State met with the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sanchez; the President of Argentina, Mauricio Macri, and then with his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa.

This includes an intervention at the high-level session of the UN General Assembly, and during the commemorative discussions for the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons.

Cuban President Signs Condolences Book

The President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, accompanied by Ambassador Anayansi Rodriguez, representative to the UN, visited this Tuesday the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations.

Diaz-Canel once again expressed his condolences for the passing of the Vietnamese President, Tran Dai Quang, and wrote in the book containing these message of pain: The Cuban people and Government will always remember Comrade Tran with gratitude.

The Cuban dignitary also wrote his impressions and highlighted the permanent contribution of Tran Dai Quang to strengthening the historic relations between both countries.

In his message Diaz-Canel offered the most heartfelt condolences to the people, Government and family of Tran Dai Quang.
