Diaz-Canel Thanks Russian Support at the UN

The Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, thanked Russia for its support in the United Nations to the draft resolution against the blockade imposed by the United States to the Caribbean nation.

It is a new victory of Cuba, but it is also a victory of the Russian Federation that has supported us in this long fight against the blockade, Diaz-Canel said during a meeting held this Friday in Moscow with the President of the Russian Senate, Valentina Matvienko.

Diaz-Canel described the day in the United Nations as a day of victory, when achieving practically unanimous support against the genocidal siege.

We have just arrived in Moscow, where, by the way, the people who first helped us against the blockade live. When we arrive we had the pleasant news of the forceful victory at the UN, where the United States was defeated ten times in one, the head of State of Cuba added.
